Joey Turns Flour Into Dough- Fundraising

Proud gushing mama interrupting your newsfeed.  My oldest started a bakery business almost a year ago and has busy every holiday since.  He had several orders to complete by today.  Joey baked 12 carrot cakes, 8 pumpkin rolls and still needed to bake 6 dozen pecan rolls. It was getting late and I told him I’d mix dough and bake them in the morning for him this time cause he needed sleep since he has school. I got up at 5:45 am this morning to make the caramel sauce for the pecan rolls. And guess who was already up and ready to help? I did not ask for his help or expect it.

This kid saw another round of baking through from beginning to end. His work ethic and determination is better than many adults. He’s wise beyond his years and I am so proud of him and thankful I am his mama.

Joey is seeing the rewards of hard work. He has earned almost all the money for his Washington D.C. trip with the school next summer already. Joey plans to keep baking and raising money for the trip he plans to take with the high school foreign language class in a few years. My world is a better place cause he’s in it. Love that boy!
